You can also buy our virgin olive oil (collection only) and view our holiday rentals. Please note that for most of our irises there are (subject to availability) significant discounts if you order 3 or 5 of the same variety in the same order.
Important notice! We supply irises as bare root rhizomes which are dug from the field to your order and therefore they can only be delivered during the lifting season, in September-October each year, and there is a cut off date for orders after which any orders will be suppled the following year. For delivery in 2026, we are accepting orders up until 18 October 2026, inclusive, for orders destined for Italy and the EU, and 20 September 2026 for orders destined for the UK. Orders placed after those dates will not be delivered until 2027.
This is an exceptionally beautiful flower. The standards are pale violet whilst the falls seem to have been hand-stencilled with thousands of tiny purple dots. It really needs to be seen to be appreciated. In common with other “broken colour” irises, I have found it is less hardy in withstanding the worst of winter weather, especially if not well-drained, but if placed in a more favourable position, protected from frosts, it will reward you with vigorous growth.
Si tratta di un fiore di bellezza eccezionale. I vessilli sono viola pallido, mentre le ali sembrano essere stati dipinto a mano con migliaia di minuscoli puntini viola. E ‘davvero bisogno di essere visto per essere apprezzato. In comune con gli altri iris “colore spezzate”, ho trovato che è meno resistente al freddo, sopratutto se non ben drenatti, ma se collocato in una posizione più favorevole, al riparo da gelate, vi ricompenserà con una crescita vigorosa.
